Walter Brueggemann

Walter Brueggemann is Professor of Old Testament at Columbia Theological Seminary, Decatur, Georgia. He is author of many books including: The Word That Redescribes the World: The Bible and Discipleship, The Prophetic Imagination, and Inscribing the Texts: Sermons and Prayers of Walter Brueggemann. His primary interest is the interpretation of Scripture for preaching and understanding Christian faith. For Brueggemann, faith is grounded in Scripture that transforms human life through the telling of stories, in vivid images and analogies, stirring the human imagination to receive the word of God.
